Samoa Joe will be out of action for WWE Mixed Match Challenge. Find out who will replace the Samoan Submission Specialist in the Facebook Watch-exclusive tournament.

The WWE Mixed Match Challenge has had early issues with injuries, as Samoa Joe is the second name to be pulled from the Facebook tournament. Last week it was announced that Raw GM Kurt Angle had replaced Enzo Amore with Apollo Crews due to Enzo’s recent illness. Enzo has since returned to action, however, so it remains unclear why Enzo was actually pulled from the WWE MMC.

Clarifying the WWE Title Match at Royal Rumble

At the beginning of WWE Smackdown Live tonight, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn addressed the Handicap WWE Title match taking place at Royal Rumble, and noted that if Owens and Zayn win the match they will become the first ever co-WWE Champions. So it appears as if both talents will be recognized as the WWE Champion should their team win the Title match.

WWE MMC Teams in Dark Match

Prior to tonight’s WWE Smackdown Live taping, the dark match saw WWE Mixed Match Challenge team Jimmy Uso and Naomi defeat the team of Baron Corbin and Tamina Snuka.
