— Southside Wrestling announced yesterday that WWE NXT:UK featured up-and-comer Millie McKenzie will not be at their events this weekend (December 28th-30th) as she has booked to go to Japan. The cancellation clearly came as a surprise to Southside promoters, who have events in London, Sheffield and St. Neots this weekend, headlined by RoH star Jay Lethal amongst others. Japan’s Kris Wolf has also had to withdraw from their December 30th event, the promotion have stated they will be looking for replacements.

— Speaking of Southside Wrestling, their 2019 annual “Speed King” line-up is looking strong with just four names confirmed and announced so far, from the 12 who will eventually compete. Women’s star Kay Lee Rae, high-flyer sensation Rey Horus, New Zealand’s NIWA and DragonGate legend CIMA will be in action at the event on March 3rd. Tickets on sale now from SouthSideWrestling.co.uk. Horus’ debut comes as a big deal, as he made a huge splash in his Pro Wrestling Guerrilla BOLA appearance earlier this year, and was trained by Rey Misterio Sr.
