Ring of Honor has officially announced that Matt Taven will defend his ROH World Championship against Jeff Cobb at the annual Best in the World pay-per-view on June 28th.

Taven won the title in a triple threat ladder match against Jay Lethal and Marty Scurll at the historic G1 Supercard event at Madison Square Garden. He has already proven to be a fight champion, putting up four defenses in less than two months’ time.

Cobb was recently announced to appear at the July 6th NJPW G1 Climax event in Dallas, TX and is expected to be a part of the annual round robin tournament later this summer.

Also announced for Best in the World is Shane Taylor defending the ROH World Television Championship against Bandido, in a rematch from their recent bout on Ring of Honor television.
