HOLLYWOOD, CA — Los Angeles Police are looking for a woman caught on video repeatedly ramming her Mercedes-Benz into a Mustang that blocked her at a parking lot near a Hollywood taco truck over the weekend. They may not have to look far.
Through her attorney, Instagram model Amber Rose Tyson admitted to CBS Los Angeles that she’s the driver in the video and plans to surrender to police. This isn’t Tyson’s first viral video. She is the same woman who made headlines two years ago when she led police on a 40-mile chase in the Inland Empire while giggling and livestreaming the pursuit. A deputy used a PIT maneuver to stop her and arrested Tyson, of Van Nuys.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to Patch an ongoing investigation into the incident, but a spokesman would not say if police are investigating the distinctively-tattooed Tyson as the suspect.
The driver in Sunday’s incident is wanted for felony vandalism and misdemeanor battery, said LAPD Public Information Officer Jay Chaves.
The incident happened at about 2 a.m. Sunday morning as a crowd gathered around a taco truck on the corner of Western and Lexington avenues. Cars double-parked in an adjacent parking lot as the crowd mingled and people used their hoods as dining tables. In the video, a black ford mustang with taco plates sitting on its hood can be seen blocking a silver Mercedes.
The Mustang owner was asked to move the car, but the Mercedes driver apparently became enraged at how long it was taking.
“She was screaming at all my friends, ‘Move the car, Move the car.’ So I tossed the keys to another one of my friends who was getting in the car to move,” a witness told KTLA.
