WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Plans to open a new sports bar and restaurant at the former Bar Louie location at the Shops at Valley Square took a significant step forward in June.
At its monthly meeting, the Warrington Township Board of Supervisors unanimously approved an inter-municipal liquor license transfer from Middletown Township to the Shops at Valley Square.
Three partners – Gary Cardi, Brad Daniels, and John Krinis – plan to open a family-oriented restaurant and sports bar with a 60-seat bar, a 150-seat restaurant, and a 60-seat outdoor dining area.

“They are in the early stages of this project. Nonetheless, they do have a lease agreement in place. They also have a liquor license purchase agreement to bring a license into Warrington from Middletown Township,” liquor license attorney Ed McHugh told the supervisors.
According to McHugh, the partners have hired an architect to create the new space.

Between the landlord and the tenant, McHugh said the partners will be investing a million dollars into the renovation and upgrade of the restaurant and bar, which is expected to employ about 40 servers, wait staff, and kitchen help.
“The footprint of the location will not change. They are investing a substantial amount of money in improvements, mostly aesthetics. The bar location will not change,” he said. “They will be putting in a pizza oven and are looking into building an indoor sports simulator to add to the operation.”
According to McHugh, the hours of operation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. during the week. On the weekends they expect to be open as late as midnight.

The primary focus of the new establishment will be on the culinary side of the operation, with food sales making up 75 percent of the operation and alcohol sales amounting to 25 percent. The culinary operation will be overseen by Brad Daniels, an accomplished chef in the Philadelphia region.
Krinis and his partners are no strangers to the restaurant and hospitality industry. They will be bringing to the new project extensive experience in the industry ranging from busy sports bars to small, quaint restaurants.
“We decided to create something here that is a combination of those aspects with the primary focus on the culinary side of things,” said Krinis. “Brad Daniels will be running the operation. He will be focusing on the food and the culinary side of things. That’s what’s going to differentiate us and make us successful.
“Myself and my other partner come from a background in the high bar volume side so our combination will make a good fit for what we’re trying to do,” said Krinis, who did not reveal the name of the new establishment during the meeting.
“We are in the early stages of our menu design and concepts,” Krinis continued. “Our focus will be American style with a European twist to it. We want to be family-friendly, casual, and a place that people will frequent often.”
Adding to the experience, Krinis said they are planning to install up to two sports simulators at the restaurant “to create a fun atmosphere” for its customers.
The simulators would allow patrons to play major golf courses and test their driving range ability by hitting a ball into a screen. The simulators would also offer virtual bowling, bocci, and baseball.
