The woman’s father, a disabled farmer, reportedly had an outstanding loan of Rs 1.3 lakh with Mahindra Finance Company for his tractor.
As a result, he received a message from Mahindra Finance asking him to pay the sum in total. The company mentioned in its note that a failure to repay the loan amount would result in the seizure of the vehicle.
When the agent arrived, the woman’s father tried to save the tractor from confiscation. He assured him that he would pay Rs 1.2 lakh immediately. But the agent demanded the entire amount and kept moving with the tractor.
As the recovery agent kept driving away the tractor, his pregnant daughter, who had reached the spot, ran after it and was crushed to death under its wheels.
