Update On Lio Rush’s WWE Status Following Emma Comment

As we noted earlier this week, WWE announced Darren Young, Summer Rae and Emma have officially been released from the company.

Following the news of Emma’s release, WWE NXT star Lio Rush made what many believed to be an insensitive remark on Twitter, when he joked that Emma was not ready for recent NXT call-up Asuka. The comment lead to a significant amount of backlash from wrestling stars on Twitter, which subsequently prompted an apology from Rush.

According to PWInsider.com, NXT management spoke with Rush yesterday, and he was back in training in Norman Smiley’s class, so it appears to be “business as usual” with regards to Rush’s current WWE status.

WWE has released the following video, which is a bonus clip from the season finale of “Total Bellas”. During the clip, Nikki Bella prepares to head to the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, and she becomes nostalgic and concerned that it could be her last Hall of Fame with her injury potentially ending her career.
