“Bill Clinton stated that I called him after the election. Wrong, he called me (with a very nice congratulations),” Trump tweeted.

“He ‘doesn’t know much’ … especially how to get people, even with an unlimited budget, out to vote in the vital swing states ( and more). They focused on wrong states,” he added moments later.

Bill Clinton told a local newspaper earlier this month the president-elect “doesn’t know much.”

“One thing he does know is how to get angry, white men to vote for him,” Clinton added.

He also told a reporter from The Record-Review he had received a phone call from Trump the day after the election. He said Trump acted during the phone call “like it was 15 years ago,” when the Clintons and Trumps used to be friendly.

Clinton responded to Trump’s tweets Tuesday afternoon, writing: “Here’s one thing @realDonaldTrump and I can agree on — I called him after the election.”
