A mosque in Savannah, Ga., received a letter that said President-elect Donald Trump is “going to do to you Muslims what Hitler did to the Jews,” according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The hand-written letter reportedly was addressed “to the children of Satan” and called Muslims “vile and filthy people.”

“He’s going to cleanse America and make it shine again. And he’s going to start with you Muslims,” it added.
The mosque reported the letter to the police. Omar Affaneh of the Islamic Center of Savannah told one of the city’s television stations that whoever wrote the letter is not educated about Islam.
“They don’t know what our beliefs are. I mean most people who take the time to write stuff like that should take the time to get educated first,” Affaneh told WTOC-TV. “We’re all one. We’re all people on the inside. We’re all human, doesn’t matter religion, color, race. It doesn’t matter — we’re all people.”
The TV station reported that three mosques in California received identical letters.
“Long live President TrumpDonald John TrumpSenate advances public lands bill in late-night vote Warren, Democrats urge Trump to back down from veto threat over changing Confederate-named bases Esper orders ‘After Action Review’ of National Guard’s role in protests MORE and God bless the U.S.A,” the letter concluded. It was signed “Americans for a Better Way.”
Edward Ahmed Mitchell, the executive director for the Georgia chapter of the Council of American-Islamic Relations, told the newspaper that the letter “only strengthened our resolve to keep practicing our faith, defending our rights and building bridges with our neighbors.”
