Joining the name-change game initiated by BJP, Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha has now come up with a weird proposal. It has asked to rename Meerut after Nathuram Godse- the assassin of Mahatma Gandhi. The Mahasabha wants Meerut to be called as Godse Nagar.

Apart from renaming Meerut, they have also said that Ghaziabad and Hapur should also be renamed as Digvijay Nagar and Avaidyanath Nagar respectively. Yogi Digvijay was the guru of Yogi Avaidyanath and the latter was the guru was Yogi Adityanath.
