— After yesterday’s Smackdown went off the air with Shane McMahon “firing” Kevin Owens, a large “AEW” chant erupted with the idea that Owens would be headed there. Obviously, this is all a storyline and Owens remains under contract with WWE for multiple years. The night ended with a dark match (advertised main event) following 205 Live. The Fiend Bray Wyatt made short work of the B-Team in less than two minutes. — The opponents for Heavy Machinery last night on Smackdown were Alex Reynolds and John Silver, who wrestle as the team The Beaver Boys on the local indie scene. Silver is actually the current Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) world champion.

— WWE NXT wrestler Brennan Williams debuted as an announcer “Dio Maddin” on 205 Live last night. Nigel McGuinness was noted to have moved on up to cover NXT which will now be two hours and airing live as of September 18. During the 205 Live main event, there was a major disruption (visible on TV) in the audience as a fan kept holding up his baby despite being warned several times by security. Drew Gulak made light of the situation by rocking Gran Metallik like a baby at one point.
