At last Saturday night’s ROH/NJPW G1 Supercard Event, The Briscoes (Jay & Mark Briscoe) & The Guerrillas Of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa) were originally scheduled to face each other in The Winner Take All Match for both The IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team & ROH World Tag Team Titles before The Briscoes (Jay & Mark Briscoe) lost The ROH World Tag Team Titles to Villain Enterprises (PCO & Brody King) at ROH 17th Anniversary in March. The match at G1 Supercard would then be changed to a Four-Way Match with The Briscoes (Jay & Mark Briscoe) & Los Ingobernables de Japon (EVIL & SANADA) being added.
The Guerrillas Of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa) would leave G1 Supercard as both The IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team & ROH World Tag Team Champions while The Briscoes (Jay & Mark Briscoe) were attacked from behind by nZo (Enzo Amore) & CaZXL (Big Cass) right after the match ended. As previously reported, Tama Tonga recently took to Twitter and commented on the invasion by nZo & CaZXL by saying, “I love the fact that Enzo and Cass came and jumped the losers of our match. Ring of Honor booking at its finest.”
As seen at The G1 Supercard Event, Toru Yano stole The IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Titles, which The Briscoes referenced in the video below. The Briscoes wanted to make it clear they are still coming for those ROH World Tag Team Titles.
“Why don’t y’all boys pick those [ROH] titles up that y’all were throwin’ around, realize what the hell y’all boys is holdin’ and also realize that y’all done talk too much s— now,” Jay said. “Gotta prove yourself now boys. Gonna have to put your money where your motherf—in’ mouth is now. What hell you think this is? We dem boys. We The Briscoes, keep them belts warm, and don’t be scared.”
Tama Tonga would then respond back to The Briscoes by saying that they were lucky to even be in the match after losing their titles. He also let them know where those ROH World Tag Team Titles will be.
“We’re back in Japan, defending these [ROH] titles,” Tonga said. “What y’all gonna do about it? We’re back defending those titles, double champs, that’s us, Guerrillas of Destiny. G.O.D. You guys go back to your day jobs, your nine-to-fives, scooping up that chicken s—.”
I love the fact that Enzo and Cass came and jumped the losers of our match. @ringofhonor booking at its finest.
