Tessa Blanchard is next in line for the Impact World title.

The second generation stand-out survived a six-person gauntlet match that ran more than an hour this Wednesday night on Impact Wrestling, last eliminating Brian Cage.

The bout started right before the show’s second hour, with Moose picking up an impressive victory over Daga in the first of five consecutive bouts. He then faced Rich Swann, who gave him the fight of his life before putting away the big man with a surprise pinning combination.

Swann then faced Michael Elgin in the next round, and took an absolutely brutal beating for more than 20 minutes. The match was stopped after Big Mike shoved the referee down in anger, and refused to stop delivering dozens of elbow strikes to a broken and bloody Swann, who was nearly unconscious on the mat.

Impact officials have now confirmed that Tessa Blanchard will face Sami Callihan for the Impact World Championship at the upcoming Hard to Kill pay-per-view on January 12th.
