CONCORD, NH — A teen was arrested after being accused of driving 110 mph on Interstate 93 in Bow on Sunday.
New Hampshire State Police were performing “traffic enforcement initiative” aircraft on I-93 in the Bow area. During the enforcement, a trooper in the air clocked a 2015 Toyota Highlander at 110 mph. Amber Lagace, the public information officer for the department, said the driver was “traveling in and out of heavy traffic.” The SUV was stopped and the driver was identified as a 17-year-old. Inside the SUV were five other people, including several juveniles, and alcohol, too, Lagace said. Three of them were taken into protective custody, she said.
The driver was arrested and charged with speeding, reckless driving, and being a minor transporting alcohol. They were released on personal recognizance and the teen is due in Concord District Court on March 15.
