Former NXT Superstar Sawyer Fulton made a surprise debut at Sunday night’s Impact Wrestling television taping in Las Vegas, seemingly joining forces with Sami Callihan and his notorious faction of Ohioans, oVe.

Fulton, 28, made his pro wrestling debut in 2010 for the Mid-Ohio Wrestling promotion working under the name “Jake South”. He signed with WWE and joined the NXT brand in 2012 where he worked on the Florida house show circuit until being brought to television in 2015 as the original tag team partner of Angelo Dawkins.

He would later be repackaged as a part of the original Sanity faction alongside Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe and Nikki Cross, but suffered an injury in late 2016 and was written out of the group and replaced by Killian Dain.

After being released from NXT, Fulton returned to the independent scene in 2018 including appearances for Sami Callihan’s Wrestling Revolver promotion, and the Crist brothers’ Rockstar Pro in Dayton, Ohio. He would also later compete for MLW alongside Callihan, appearing in the 40-Man Battle Riot and a WarGames match.
