Following the best ratings number Raw has posted since last year’s episode after WrestleMania on Monday night, SmackDown had a big jump as well for their post-Royal Rumble show on Tuesday.

The show averaged 2.817 million viewers. That is up 10 percent from last week’s total and is the best number for the brand since December 27th, which was the return of John Cena to television after a lengthy absence. It was the third best number SmackDown has done since the live draft special last July.

SmackDown finished ninth for the night in total viewers on cable but was first in the 18-49 demo with a 1.02 rating.

Tuesday night’s episode retained 78 percent of the Raw audience from the night before, which was the exact same percentage as last week. That would seem to indicate the same post-PPV bump that Raw received coming off of the Rumble.
