The Special Investigation Team (SIT) appointed by the Supreme Court has suggested amendments in existing tax laws to curb the use of black money in elections citing the seizure of Rs. 3800 crore during the duration of polls and campaigning in the general elections that concluded last month.

“It has come to the notice of the SIT that nearly Rs 3,800 crore was seized from across the country during the time of elections in April-May this year,” he said, news agency PTI reported.
