This weekend in Council Bluffs, Iowa the Rochester Community and Technical College Yellowjackets will be competing in the NJCAA National Wrestling Tournament.

The Jackets qualified nine wrestlers while winning the North District Qualifier, and are currently ranked first among non-scholarship schools. Throughout the season the team has remained on top of the non-season division while moving in and out of the top ten for all teams.

Individually RCTC has four National Championships qualifiers ranked nationally. Alfred Daniel is #5 at 157, Shane Siewert is #5 at 174, Mason Hawkins is #5 at 197, and Luis Pinto is #7 at Hwt.

Also qualifying for the tournament are Noah Bauer at 125, Parker Huss at 133, Auston Hall at 141, Elijah Hollins at 165, and Zack Moon at 184.

The Yellowjackets are working to win their third National Title in five years. “This team has a great opportunity to win another title,” said Coach Randy Rager. “It is going to be about everyone wrestling hard and getting points.”
