BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Nine Augustana wrestlers earned top-nine rankings in the latest NCAA Super Region rankings in a release from the conference on Wednesday. The region consists of 15 institutions including nine from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
St. Cloud earned the top spot in the poll with 47 points, followed by Ouachita Baptist with 46 points. Maryville placed third with 39 points, while McKendree took fourth with 26 points. NSIC rival Upper Iowa took fifth with 19 points. The Vikings earned 13 points to check in at seventh with Minnesota State-Mankato.
Three Vikings were ranked in the top-five of their respective weight classes. TJ North remains as the No. 1 spot in the 125-pound class. North, a junior from Elk Point, S.D. owns an 18-3 record and also remains as the top spot in the NSIC rankings.
Holding steady at the No. 4 spot at 197-pounds is Jayd Docken. Docken, a senior from Winner, S.D. is currently ranked first in the NSIC rankings and owns a 21-3 record after going 2-0 this past weekend behind a pin and a major decision. Jacob Anderson who opened the season in the 149-pound division moves up one spot to check in at the No. 5 spot. Anderson, a sophomore from Springfield, Minn. is 24-10 this season and also moved up one spot tabbing first in the NSIC rankings.

Augustana returns to action Thursday, Feb. 12 hosting No. 10 Upper Iowa in the Elmen Center. First match is scheduled for 7 p.m.
