While social networking sites like Facebook have promised to set up regional centres that will look into dissemination of fake news, they also need to start keeping a tab on fake profiles. Nowadays, a lot of fake profiles have been popping up that are being used by political parties to spread their ideology.

A 31-year-old man was booked by the Rajasthan police on Thursday over sedition charges for posting a death threat to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Facebook. Hindustan Times reported that Naveen Swami a resident of Barkat Nagar in Jaipur worked at a book store near Triveni Nagar.

Swami created a fake profile on Facebook by the name of Naveen Swami Dual and posted “Kya koi he jo mujhe Modi ke murder ki supari de sakta he. Mere pass full proof plan he (can somebody hire me to kill Modi. I have a full-proof plan).”Click Here: Maori All Blacks Store
