class=”article_teaser__2t5do”>Having conceded in their last three group games at Anfield, Al Hain-Cole expects the weakened Reds backline to prove vulnerable versus Priske's men

Liverpool will be looking to strengthen their position in Champions League Group D when they welcome Midtjylland to Anfield on Tuesday.

The Reds got off to a good start to this season’s competition, running out narrow 1-0 winners over Ajax in Amsterdam last week, but it was not such a happy outing for Midtjylland as they lost 4-0 at home to Atalanta.

Liverpool vs Midtjylland Latest Odds

Unbeaten in 18 home games in this competition, the Premier League champions are clear 1/9 (1.11) favourites with bet365 to make it six points from six with another victory here.

Brian Priske’s men can be backed at 20/1 (21.00) to bounce back from their loss last week and pull off a shock win, or 17/2 (9.50) to earn a creditable draw against the 2019 winners.

Thiago Alcantara, Joel Matip and Naby Keita call all be back in contention following injury, although Virgil van Dijk, Kostas Tsimikas and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are ruled out.

Oliver Olsen and Kristian Riis both remain sidelined for the guests, having also missed the opening defeat against Atalanta.

Liverpool vs Midtjylland Preview

Having scraped to a rather edgy win over Ajax, it seems unlikely that Jurgen Klopp’s team will produce so little against a team that conceded four goals on home turf last time out.

In fact, the Danish minnows are without a clean sheet in five fixtures coming into this clash, having conceded twice in each of their last two domestic away matches – albeit scoring five times themselves.

The Wolves may even fancy their chances of getting on the scoresheet at Anfield considering the hosts failed to keep a clean sheet in three home group games last campaign and have managed just one clean sheet in the Premier League this season.

Liverpool vs Midtjylland Tips and Predictions

With Van Dijk’s absence causing vulnerability at the back, even money (2.00) seems generous on both teams getting on target for Liverpool’s sixth game in eight and a fifth in six for Midtjylland.
