Kylian Mbappé was forced to leave the pitch after just twenty minutes in Paris Saint-Germain midweek fixture against Montpellier tonight, in a nightmare showing for the French forward down south.
The World Cup winner was unable to convert from the penalty spot twice at the start of the match – his first effort being tipped onto the post by Benjamin Lecomte, before altogether missing his second attempt.
Ten minutes later, despite his efforts to try and play on, Mbappé was unable to continue as a result of what appeared to be a thigh muscle injury, with Hugo Ekitike coming on to take his place. Matters were made worse for the league leaders shortly afterwards as Sergio Ramos was also substituted, after a clash of heads with Stephy Mavididi.

With just two weeks to go until Bayern Munich make the trip to the Parc des Princes, it is now unclear whether the forward will be able to recover in time for the Champions League knockout fixture.
