Jay White recently spoke to Digital Spy about several different topics, including the differences between New Japan Pro Wrestling and WWE.
The Bullet Club leader talked about what separates NJPW from WWE. He was also quick to remind fans that New Japan should be a destination for anyone that’s grown tired of Vince McMahon’s company.
“It’s more of a sport than a TV show,” he said. “You see so many fans getting tired of the same WWE stuff. A lot of fans complain and complain but they never try to watch anything else at all. The things that they’re often complaining about New Japan has and offers. So all those things you’re able to find with New Japan.”
“The Switchblade” also revealed which current WWE Superstar he would like to work, if given the opportunity.
“If I had to just pick a name I’d maybe say Finn Bálor, just because I kind of came to a similar path to him and there have been comparisons thrown around.”
Jay White had a great 2018 in New Japan. He beat Kenny Omega, Kazuchika Okada and Hiroshi Tanahashi during 2018 and he defeated Okada again in 2019, this time at Wrestle Kingdom 13. White’s next big match comes at NJPW’s New Beginning on February 11. He will once again face Tanahashi but this time, the IWGP Championship will be on the line.
