The younger Faulk was taken into custody, who shared the home with his grandfather, police said. Officers had visited the home on prior occasions for domestic disturbances, said Deputy Chief Adam Gulczynski, of the Hickory Hills Police Department.
The deceased man was identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner as Dean L. Faulk, 90. The medical examiner ruled the death a homicide and attributed the cause of death to “multiple chop wounds.”
