HALL COUNTY, GA — A GoFundMe has been started for the heroic teenaged Chick-fil-A worker who saved a small boy from choking last week. Logan Simmons was working the drive-thru when he saw the boy choking from becoming entangled in his seat belt. Surveillance video from Chick-fil-A shows Simmons jumping through the window. He then got into the car and used a pocketknife to cut the six-year-old child free.
The child’s mother was begging for help when Simmons rushed in and prevented what could have been a tragedy.
“After connecting with Logan and his mother, we learned that Logan currently does not have a car, and he relies on his mother and siblings to get him to work every day,” the GoFundMe says. “The goal for this GoFundMe is to raise enough money for Logan to buy himself a decent car that he definitely deserves!” So far, about $1,700 has been raised toward the campaign’s $10,000 goal.
