Activists call for a strict action
After the horrid 15-minute-long video capturing the torture and killing of the pregnant dog went viral on social media, animal lovers and activists have called for strict action against the accused.
“It is horrific to see such brutality by young students who can be seen laughing as they beat an expectant mother to death,” Ambika Shukla, Trustee, People for Animals, one of India’s largest animal welfare organisations, was quoted by PTI.
Shukla demanded that the students be rusticated from the college and prosecuted according to the law. She also demanded action against the institution as not only its students but also its staff were involved.
