– The backstage feeling is that the new WWE Performance Center will allow WWE to gain an advantage in recruiting athletes that typically have gone the MMA route in recent years. These athletes historically are the types that have had the most success in pro wrestling.

– WWE will be holding two weeks worth of tapings next week as the Raw crew is headed to Australia at the end of the month. The 7/22 Raw will be live from Austin but the 7/29 Raw will be pre-taped on 7/23 in Laredo. The 7/26 and 8/2 Smackdown shows will be taped on 7/24 in Corpus Christi and 7/25 in Houston, respectively.

– Brian James (aka the Road Dogg) is now officially on WWE’s creative team. He has attended meetings the last few weeks because the company was looking for someone with experience at the meetings, since Michael Hayes hasn’t been there lately.
