CONCORD, NH — A man from Massachusetts was killed during a crash in Hinsdale on Tuesday.

Around 5:45 p.m., New Hampshire State Police were sent to a major crash on Route 119. Police in Hinsdale were in the area investigating an unrelated incident when an officer saw a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta speeding and operating erratically, Amber Lagace, a public information officer for the department, said. The driver of the Jetta was traveling west toward Vermont.

“The vehicle then reversed direction and continued back eastbound, crossing into the westbound lane and colliding head-on with a 1999 Jeep Wrangler,” she said.
