Late in the afternoon of June 20, police were informed by a woman that a man was touching himself in a black sedan in the parking lot at Brookhaven Market, 7516 Cass Ave., the report said.
Asked to explain himself, the man told an officer that he had just left LA Fitness in Westmont. When presented with the allegation, the man explained that he was sweating from being in the gym, so he was trying to change from jogging pants to gym shorts, police said.

An officer asked the man to show his shorts, but the man had no shorts in the car, police said.
The 18-year-old later admitted he lied about changing into shorts and said the woman’s allegation was true, police said.
The woman did not want to be a witness or provide her name, according to the report.
Just two days before, a similar complaint was made at Brookhaven Market of a man doing the same thing in a black sedan, police said.
