SCOTLAND ASSISTANT COACH Dan McFarland will begin his position as Ulster’s new head coach tomorrow, the province have confirmed.
An agreement has been reached between the Scottish Rugby Union and the IRFU allowing the 46-year-old to be released from his role in order to take over at Kingspan Stadium.
“The Irish Rugby Football Union and Scottish Rugby have reached an agreement to allow Dan McFarland to begin working with Ulster Rugby tomorrow,” the province announced on Sunday.
“The parties reached a mutual agreement on terms this weekend, allowing Dan to take up his new role as Head Coach of Ulster.”
Ulster begin their Pro14 campaign in just under two weeks’ time at home to Scarlets on 1 September.
