Ricochet defeated Adam Cole in an outstanding match this evening at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 4 to become the brand new NXT North American Champion.
This victory marks Ricochet’s first ever championship win as a member of the WWE roster, and ends Cole’s inaugural reign at 133 days. Interestingly, the other members of The Undisputed Era were nowhere to be seen during their leader’s title defense, although that could be attributed to having just wrestled an extremely physical match against Mustache Mountain, successfully retaining the NXT Tag Team Championships.
