Batista has confirmed that he will not be taking part in this year’s WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, but will be inducted in a future ceremony.
“To the @WWEUniverse Unfortunately due to previous obligations I am unable to be a part of the @WWE #HOF this year,” Batista wrote. “By my request they have agreed to induct me at a future ceremony where I’ll be able to properly thank the fans and people who made my career possible #DreamChaser”
Batista’s Hall of Fame induction was announced last year for the 2020 class. However, the 2020 ceremony was delayed due to COVID-19. WWE has since announced that those who were scheduled to be inducted in 2020 will be part of this year’s ceremony. Those announced last year include John Bradshaw Layfield, The British Bulldog, Jushin Thunder Liger, The Bella Twins, and the New World Order (Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Sean Waltman).
Two names have been confirmed for the 2021 class, Molly Holly and Eric Bischoff.
