HATBORO, PA —Angela Gottshall was walking her dog on North Main Street Thursday when something happened in the borough that is a rare site.
“A truck driver spotted it at Daddy Pops,” she told Patch on Friday. “He told these two guys. These guys told me there was a Bald Eagle up in a tree. So I stopped and took pictures.”
While two Bald Eagles are located at nearby Pennypack Trust, you don’t usually find the majestic creature hanging out in the downtown business district.

“That’s awesome,” said Borough Manager Diane Hegele, who has seen the birds at the Pennypack Trust a few times.
“It’s definitely cool,” said State Rep. Nancy Guenst, who spotted them at Pennypack Trust.

Another commenter said the Bald Eagles are also often found in nearby Warminster Community Park.
How long the Bald Eagle will stick around might just depend on a free breakfast or a quick bite to eat.
“He could smell those home fries,” one commenter said.
Either way, residents are thrilled the bird has decided to drop by in Hatboro.
“Amazing bird. Makes you feel great to see them,” another commenter said.
