WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is not scheduled to be on WWE’s next PPV on December 16th known as WWE TLC and his next scheduled match is expected to be at The Royal Rumble PPV Event where he will be defending his WWE Universal Title against Braun Strowman.
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon’s plans for Lesnar at this time are for him to face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania and not Strowman as some expected. While The Lesnar/Rollins Match would logically be for The WWE Universal Title, that would imply that Brock will leave Royal Rumble as the champion, though it is unclear if he will actually beat Strowman or not as it would mark the third straight time Lesnar would go over Braun in a singles match if that were to happen.
With Lesnar vs. Rollins now penciled in, WWE will continue to play off of Roman Reigns in “some fashion”, so Roman’s name and his ongoing fight against leukemia is also expected to be mentioned and used in the storyline moving forward.
