Finn Balor is officially heading to WWE Money in the Bank, defeating Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn in a triple threat match on tonight’s Monday Night RAW to qualify for a spot in the annual men’s ladder match. Balor will join the “Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman, who qualified earlier in the night, as two of the four men that will represent the RAW brand in the upcoming bout.
Originally it looked like the “Big Dog” had the bout put away, but Reigns was attacked by former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal in the closing moments of tonight’s show. Mahal, who came over from Smackdown Live during the recent Superstar Shakeup, was seemingly taking his misdirected anger out on Roman after being denied a spot in the triple threat qualifier by RAW General Manager Kurt Angle. Balor took advantage of the chaos, connecting with the Coup de Grace on Sami Zayn to pick up the big “W”.
As previously noted, four men from Smackdown Live will also compete in the co-branded Money in the Bank ladder match, for a total of eight superstars. Daniel Bryan will face Rusev in one of two qualifiers this Tuesday night, as United States Champion Jeff Hardy will take on The Miz in a non-title match, with the winners advancing.
On the women’s side of Money in the Bank, Ember Moon qualified on Raw tonight, and Charlotte Flair and Peyton Royce will have a chance to qualify on Smackdown this week when they face each other in a singles match qualifier.
