After making a surprise return at Monday’s NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling event and yet again ambushing a member of Los Ingobernables de Japon, Chris Jericho’s first defense of the IWGP Intercontinental Championship has officially been announced.

Y2J will return to the ring on Nov. 3rd at NJPW Power Struggle, live at the Edion Arena in Osaka, Japan where he will put his title on the line against EVIL. It is rumored that Jericho is in line for a major bout at Wrestle Kingdom 13, and should he retain his championship next month the leading speculation is that they are setting up a rematch with Tetsuya Naito.

Also announced for Power Struggle is the finals of the 2018 Super Jr. Tag League, a special singles match between Tetsuya Naito and Zack Sabre Jr., several big tag team matches that will set the stage for the Tokyo Dome main events, and Will Ospreay challenging Taichi for the NEVER Openweight Championship.
