Jack Letts, a Muslim convert dubbed Jihadi Jack, has said he misses his mother and wants to return to the UK.

However, the 23-year-old Briton faces an uncertain future as Western countries decide what to do about their citizens who are among the hundreds of foreign fighters in Syria. 

A middle class young man from Oxford, Letts fled Britain in 2014 and was later accused of joining Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil).

He is now languishing in a Kurdish prison camp in Northern Syria, where he has been held for the past two years.  He said he considers the UK his home and believes he should be allowed to return.
