Following Thursday’s NXT television tapings, which completes the remaining episodes leading up to their next WWE Network live special in November, new matches were officially announced.

As noted, NXT General Manager William Regal announced this week that Shinsuke Nakamura will defend the NXT Championship in a rematch against the man he won it from at the last WWE Network special, Samoa Joe and WWE confirmed that Asuka will defend her NXT Women’s Championship against Mickie James, who made her NXT debut at the tapings last night.
