Shortly before Paige returned to Raw, it was reported that the engagement between the young wrestler and Alberto El Patron (formerly known as Alberto Del Rio) had been called off. Some doubted that the relationship was over since the couple have been together and separated from each other on a few different occasions. It does indeed appear to be over for good though, at least according to Alberto on Konnan’s Keeping it 100 podcast. When asked why the relationship ended, Alberto said, “we were not seeing each other and because she was training and getting ready to go back they were not letting her go to San Antonio, I couldn’t go to Orlando because I have three little kids and I was coming home two or three days and I had to choose between going to Orlando or staying with my kids so of course, I decided to stay with my kids.” He also said that he and Paige ended the relationship on good terms and that they both want what is best for each other.
Fans may remember Candice Michelle best from her time competing as a member of the Diva’s division during the “Ruthless Aggression” era of WWE. After wrestling for several years, the former WWE star announced her retirement from the ring at the House of Hardcore 36 event. She defeated Lisa Marie Varon and then gave a speech reminiscing about her career in the pro wrestling industry. She discussed topics such as getting into the Diva’s Search competition in WWE, as well as winning the Women’s Championship. She said that she hopes to serve as a role model for children everywhere. Michelle has been involved in the wrestling industry since 2004.
John Cena may not be as active in the wrestling industry as he had been even a few years ago, but he has been transitioning into a major Hollywood actor in recent years. His upcoming animated children’s film Ferdinand (in which he plays the title character) is set to be released on December 15th, and he is set to take on several more film projects in the near future. As far as television roles go, comicbook.com reports that Cena may have secured a role in the upcoming HBO series Watchmen, which is based on the DC Comics series of the same name. Cena helped fuel these rumors himself recently with recent Instagram posts of the Watchmen logo and another image of the Dr. Manhattan character from the comic books.
