During Monday Night Raw earlier in the week, WWE aired a vignette hyping up the return of Sami Zayn. Zayn underwent surgery for both of his shoulders earlier this year, which has forced him to take time off from wrestling throughout most of 2018. Zayn and fellow injured WWE Superstar Kevin Owens were both advertised for their in-ring returns this week, but WWE only stated that they would both be back on television “soon.” Zayn was expected to miss several months of action when he initially received the injuries, and it looks like he may be set to miss out on even more time. According to the Raw Superstar, he is actually still recovering from his injuries and is not at all ready to return to the ring just yet.
Sami Zayn appeared on Chris Jericho’s Talk is Jericho podcast recently to discuss his progress and planned return to television. Surprisingly, Zayn admitted that he is actually “not even close” to being ready to return to WWE right now. The former NXT Champion also informed fans that he misses performing to a point, but he is in no rush to make a comeback as of right now. Sami says that the injury has forced him to reevaluate his life, and he believes that he has become a better person because of the wrestling setback. Zayn says that he is back in the Performance Center right now rehabbing in injuries, but he still does not miss competing right now. Sami also said that he still has months left to go until he’ll be good to go again.
“I know wrestling fans, maybe don’t want
to hear this, but I’ve been loving being off. I think wrestling fans
want to hear, ‘I can’t wait to be back and I miss it.’ I don’t
miss it. I don’t miss it yet. I’m surprised by how little I’ve
missed it. Five months and I don’t miss it. What’s up with that?”
Zayn said.

Just yesterday, Ring of Honor finally confirmed that Bandido had signed a contract with the promotion and would be making his debut very soon. Bandido is just one of several wrestlers that ROH has managed to sign to a full time contract, but ROH did not mention when he would be starting his run with the promotion. ROH confirmed to PWInsider that Bandido will be featured on a set of TV tapings on January 12th, and he will make another appearance for ROH during the Honor Reigns Supreme event on January 13th. Bandido became one of the hottest free agents in the world this year. After turning down several offers from various promotions, fans only have to wait a few more weeks until the Luchador makes an impact in ROH.

BREAKING: Bandido (@luchadorbandido) is officially signed to #RingOfHonor and will be appearing at the upcoming #ROH events! https://t.co/hkSK4iX4yh to be there LIVE!
