SURPRISE, AZ — An Amber Alert has been canceled in Arizona after a 14-year-old girl who went missing out of Surprise was found in Nevada. Aubrey Gardner disappeared Saturday and was last seen at her home. Authorities said they believed she was with 21-year-old Jonathan Ricarrdo Carson.

The teen was found in Mesquite, Nevada, with Carson, police announced Sunday evening. Initial reports indicated she was not hurt.

“Aubrey and Jonathan Carson are both in police custody at this time,” police said. Investigators are trying to determine what led up to her disappearance.

There was an outstanding felony warrant out for Carson for deserting military duty. His last known address was in Sierra Vista and authorities warned he could be suicidal.
