A Kerala boy who was expelled from school for hugging a female friend during an art festival last year has scored 91.02 percent marks in CBSE class 12th examination. The boy was a commerce stream student of St Thomas Central School in Mukkolakkal in Thiruvananthapuram.

The result was announced on Saturday. The school suspended both students calling it indiscipline. The student was taken back after MP of Thiruvananthapuram Shashi Tharoor intervened and asked school authorities to take him back.
