TEMECULA, CA — An 80-year-old Temecula woman was reported missing overnight in Temecula, her family and the Southwest Riverside County Sheriff’s Department shared over social media.

A Silver Alert will remain in place until she is located.

Zarmina Azizi was last seen at 8:30 p.m. Monday at San Marco Drive and Fassano Court, in the South Temecula neighborhood of Paseo Del Sol, said the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Azizi is of Middle Eastern descent. She is 5 foot 5 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds, and has gray hair and brown eyes.

“My 80-year-old mother, who suffers from Alzheimer’s & dementia, walked out of our house on Fassano Court (Paseo Del Sol neighborhood) around midnight,” her son, Walid Azizi shared in a Facebook neighborhood post. “Local law enforcement is on the scene assisting.”

He asks all in the area to check their doorbell cameras and share any information.

She was last seen wearing red and white pajamas and black shoes, and authorities say Azizi may be traveling on foot.

If you think you have seen Azizi or may have information on her whereabouts, you are asked to call 911.

The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearance of elderly, developmentally disabled, or cognitively impaired individuals.
