HAMPTON, NH — It’s presidential primary time. And it’s almost over, too.

Voters will go to the polls on Tuesday, Jan. 23, to make recommendations to both the Democrats and Republicans on who their party nominees should be. There are more than 40 candidates who are running for president.

In Hampton, voters will cast ballots from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the cafeteria at Winnacunnet High School.

Voter Registration

New Hampshire has same-day voter registration, but you must complete a voter registration form.

Granite State residents must be 18 or older on Election Day, a United States citizen, and live in the town or ward where they seek to register to vote. To register, residents must provide proof of identity, age, citizenship, and residency. A driver’s license or non-driver ID card from any state can be used to prove identity and age; a birth certificate, U.S. Passport/Passcard, or naturalization document can be used to prove citizenship; state IDs, rental housing agreements, motor vehicle registration, a utility bill, and other documents can be used to prove residency.
