•Top NXT Tweets of the Week

Riddle’s coming after Dream, he’s coming after Bryan, and he’s coming after Lesnar…..

Babatunde with a mouthpiece might be a very destructive force in the future

Harper vs. Dijak, Strong vs. Breeze, Sanity vs. Undisputed Era, Brate vs. Kendrick, Shirai vs. Deville….great stuff.

With Ciampa gone, she becomes the best true heel in NXT.

•Thoughts and Comments

  • The “boom” in the Undisputed Era’s entrance music is fantastic. That accompanied by a good ol’ “Adam Cole BayBay!” is the best entrance combo in the business.
  • Speaking of Cole and the rest of his UE stablemates, it’s not too far fetched to think each one of them could be draped in gold by the end of 2019. Cole as the NXT Champion, either Fish or Strong as North American Champ, and whichever one is left tagging with O’Reilly to become three time NXT Tag Team Champs.
  • The only match on the NXT TakeOver:New York card that seems to be a foregone conclusion is the NXT Tag Team Championship match. I can’t see any way whatsoever Black and Ricochet walk away victorious. Unless the plan is for them to become both NXT tag champs and Raw tag champs, but that doesn’t seem plausible. They’ve painted themselves in a corner because the rest of the tag division has been pushed aside to make room at the top for Ric and Black, and now they are left with no top contenders after they jet for Raw/Smackdown.
  • Is it just me or is anyone else a little confused about the current face/heel dynamic of Mr. Johnny Gargano? He went from beloved face to vicious heel (he did attack Aleister Black multiple times and sided with the top heel in the company, Ciampa) back to beloved face again. I’m just finding it hard to fully embrace Johnny again as a true hero…but hey, maybe it’s just me.
