MILFORD, CT – During a busy day at the Connecticut Post Mall on Thursday, June 8, Michaels Jewelers had their official ribbon-cutting grand opening.

Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Richard Smith, Alderman Anthony Giannattasio and others joined the celebration of the ribbon cutting.

In January 2023, Michaels Jewelers announced they planned to open a new location in Milford’s Connecticut Post Mall.

The jewelry store is located on the mall’s upper level and near the food court.

A few months later, in April, Michaels Jewelers opened its 1,500-square-foot retail space with a Pandora boutique in-store.

“There was a crowd of people we knew we could bring a jewelry store to,” Maria Ciarleglio, Michaels Jewelers Milford store manager. “A family-owned business that this mall didn’t have.”

Nick Meguerditchian, Michaels Jewelers Waterbury store manager, said Michaels Jewelers had a rich history at the Connecticut Post Mall in the past.

“Things have changed, and this is one of the best malls in Connecticut, and you can see it once you are in it,” he said. “We wanted to be part of a growing establishment. We are a growing company and didn’t want to miss the opportunity.”

Meguerditchian said they talked it over, and ultimately it was an easy decision to bring Michaels Jewelers back into the Connecticut Post Mall.

“We carry Pandora, and that is not offered in this mall, so that impacted the decision, too,” DeAnna Syner said. “This was a great opportunity for us, and it all worked out.”
