India is in the midst of yet another general election, the results of which will be announced on May 23. The fate of thousands of candidates across parties will be revealed as the future of some political stalwarts has already been sealed. That is, because these veterans have been denied Lok Sabha election tickets by their respective parties. They might have been for long a part of Indian politics and history but won’t be a part of the 17th Lok Sabha. Here are some of them.

1. LK Advani

LK Advani, one of the co-founders of BJP will not be a part of the 17th Lok Sabha as he has been replaced by Amit Shah in Gandhinagar constituency. The 6-term Lok Sabha MP has been representing Gandhinagar in the Lok Sabha since 1998.
